Small Tajine

In the stunning city of Marrakech, this vibrantly patterned and hand-painted glazed tajine was handcrafted by craftsmen. A tajine is made up of two parts: a cone-shaped cap and a circular base. The lid's distinctive shape aids in returning all condensation to the bottom, keeping the food soft and enhancing flavour. Before using it for the first time, this tajine needs to be seasoned. It can be used as a slow cooker at low temperatures on the stovetop or in the oven. For stovetop cooking, it is strongly advised to use a diffuser in order to prevent breakage.
